Improving the nation’s mental health through education, support and inclusion.

Here in the UK, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health illness each year. Our goal is to help people rebuild their self-esteem by tackling some of the challenges caused by social exclusion, disability and other life circumstances.

Fundraiser: Jamie Winter's Firewalk

Throughout my career I have seen how mental health issues can affect people in different ways and Back Onside are not only helping people directly but also raising awareness, helping to smash the taboo's associated with mental health and getting people talking. As an Ambassador for Back Onside I am only too pleased to help and by doing the firewalk hopefully I can raise money to help with the work the charity does. Please support me with your donations large or small because every penny matters when Mental Health Matters.

How to help

What's the best way to help a friend, team-mate or partner?

The easiest way to help someone you’re worried about is to give them a safe, non-judgmental space to voice their thoughts. By simply listening to them and being physically and emotionally present, you’ll be far more effective than trying to offer advice.
